Spirit Driven

Since DCC, I worried that this fire inside of me would eventually burn out and I would continue to live my life going through the motions; however, I find my passion to glorify God growing stronger every day. I wake up early every morning to start my day right—by thanking God for giving me another one. I used to just pray when something bad happens, or when I need strength, or just a way to help me fall asleep at night. Reading my Bible only happened when I brought it to church or to Cru. Since I have been focusing on spending my mornings with God and reading through His word, I have never felt more at peace and secure in my faith. And throughout the day I find myself talking to Him and taking out my Bible. My conversations have changed with the people around me. Somehow my faith is always immersed into my daily conversations and thoughts. I have never felt the Spirit move inside me in such a way as it does now. I have made time to meet with my discipler to pour into me while I am here at school. I find myself wanting to share the gospel with everyone I encounter so that they can also glorify God and know His love. I also have a new goal to start a small group with the girls on my floor, even if I don’t know any of them. God has been teaching me what it means to live my life fully for Him and glorify Him in EVERYTHING that I do.
