I will be leading my first Bible Study this week. The past two nights I have attended two Bible Studies to get more perspective and insight. I have been letting the Lord pour into me the past two nights, in hope that I can pour into others at the Bible study I’m going to help lead.

Something I learned tonight is that leading is not putting myself on a pedestal above others, but instead immersing myself in humility with an open heart— so that the Holy Spirit can move in me to pull others toward the cross. Leading is serving.

Yes, I am awkward when I pray out loud. Thank God that He will not condemn me for that. No, I am not perfect. Thank God that He has given me a vulnerable heart. Yes, I care for everyone I encounter in some way. Thank God that He has given me that compassion and heart that breaks for people. Yes, I want to glorify God in everything I do. Thank the Holy Spirit that He directs me with the right motive.
